This is the updated WikipediaLinkModule for CS2007. The ZIP file contains both the source for the module as well as a pre-built assembly. See the Readme.txt file for installation and use information.

This update also includes a fix that allows the WikipediaLinkModule to be used within the forums application.

Example:

Welcome to Michigan.

UPDATE June 23, 2007: This module has been updated to render XHTML-compliant markup.

Thanks Ben - I've been anticipating this update. My blog entries were looking a bit odd since I upgraded to CS2007. This is a really useful module, I use it regularly and it saves me having to explain all sorts of things on my blog.

Hello Ben Will the module work with local version of Wikipedia? For example in Danish? http://www.wikipedia.dk/ Best regards, Henrik

Great module. Thank you for sharing it. I have it working on a french CS installation (not live yet). But there's a problem with words that contain accents. For instance, if I type [wikipedia:Orléans], the links doesn't work at all. If I transform the "é" with its html symbol eacute (I didn't type the ampersand and the semi-colon on puurpose here), the wikipedia link works but the displayed word on my blog post shows the html symbol (eacute) instead of the accentuated letter. I hope you get what I mean..

Henrik Dahl -- Yes, you can use a localized version by customizing the communityserver.config changes (step 2 of the installation from the readme.txt file). You can add/modify <language> nodes within the <add> for the WikipediaLinkModule. By default, the first <language> is used (other languages are matched against the CS user's selected language in their profile or the language code sent by their browser).

Thank you Ben for this nice module, astonished. I had same problem as Jacques to, but you know this issue.
