I've seen this advice pages down on a few forums but let me reiterate what I've learned:  Do not order Verizon equiment from their online store unless you want to wait...

I ordered a Motorola Q online on Tuesday from Verizon's online store (there is no nearby physical Verizon store).  After 3 days (yes, I count today as three days... Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), the status of my order is still "We have recieved your order.  Please check back tomorrow."  I called this morning to check the status and was told that they were now processing orders from Sunday, but, if I'd like to pay for overnight shipping, they can ship it today and I'll have it tomorrow.

Huh?

Order Online:  Processing takes 2 to 5 days + non-overnight shipping time (there are no options online for changing the shipping method so I assume this is regular ground shipping)

Order via Phone: Processing is immediate and overnight shipping is available.

Luckily, the call was quick (10 minutes, start to finish), the service rep at Verizion was friendly and I'll be getting my Q tomorrow.  I was hoping to get it today (today is my birthday), but tomorrow is good too.
