If you're reading this post through the web site (and not just sucking it through an RSS feed), you'll hopefully notice the new site design.
I've been working on the design for a little while now. It uses a single/default/root blog and single/default gallery configuration of an early build of Community Server 2.1. CS2.1 has added support for tagging (see the tags option on most pages in the site) and other cool features that I hope to add to the site as time goes by.
As part of the upgrade of this site, I implemented a custom theme and simplified the skin files of CS -- I've reviewed all of the blog/gallery/site skin files and merged single-use skin files back into their calling skins as inline skin templates (using the <SkinTemplate> ... </SkinTemplate> syntax on the CS controls). This decreased the number of skin files by more than 50% -- which made skinning this site take around 6 to 8 hours.
I've been skinning quite a few CS sites lately and I'm continously amazed at how flexible CS can be -- it could be easier to pull out some of the flexibility of the software... but that's something we'll be working on in future releases
