So this is old news, but, a few weekends ago, for the big Community Server 2.0 beta 3 release, we had a CSModule contest within Telligent.  We had roughly 72 hours to create cool, easy-to-install CSModules to show off some cool things that can be done with the new version of Community Server.

I didn't have a lot of time the weekend of the contest (my parents came for the weekend), but wanted to participate.  I worked late Friday night and Sunday night to make three modules:

  1. WikipediaLinkModule -- inserts help-style links that, when clicked, pop-up an inline blurb from Wikipedia.
  2. AutomaticTranslationModule -- automatically translates post content from the author's language to the reader's language (via Google Translate)
  3. AutomaticLinkModule -- automatically converts keywords in posts to links

There were 20 submissions in all -- and some really cool modules were created (see the whole list).

After some voting, I'm happy to announce that I won 2nd place for the WikipediaLinkModule!

You can get the source code for my modules on communityserver.org or here at getben.com.
